About Our Team

Linda Pettibon
Operations Manager
I was born in Detroit, Michigan and came to Sarasota with my family when I was a young girl. I have a Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration and have spent the majority of my career in the Health Care Management field. I love knowing that I’ve made a real difference in someone’s life and I was able to help them through the difficult process and stressful event of moving. This is why I love working for Senior Moves. We care about and help those in need of our services. In my free time I love to garden and I volunteer at the Sarasota Succulent Society.

Carrie Murphy
Senior Relocation Specialist
I was born in Connecticut but grew up in Florida and have lived in many cities throughout the state. I have a Master’s degree in Interior Design from FSU and worked for many years as a licensed Interior Designer. I also was as an assistant to a Geriatric Care Manager. I love working with Senior Moves. We help people, who would otherwise have a challenging time with the packing, moving and getting set up in their new home and we help by making it easier and less stressful. I feel very fortunate to be involved in the work we do and I find it rewarding.

Deborah Downing
Senior Relocation Specialist
I am originally from Baltimore, Maryland and have been living in Sarasota since 1981. I have a degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland and have been a payroll supervisor and recently retired as the Regional Financial Manager of an engineering firm. In my free time I love to walk, play golf, read, travel and go to movies and dinner with my friends. I love working with Senior Moves as it affords me to do something I’m good at; packing, and helping folks through a very stressful time of their lives.

Jeanie Glass
Senior Relocation Specialist
Originally from Lexington, Kentucky, I was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio where I studied Criminal Justice at The College of Mount St. Joseph. For 20+ years I’ve enjoyed work in chiropractic, orthopedic offices and nutritional clinics and I have my license as a massage therapist. I enjoy helping people relax using therapeutic massage and it supports good health and brings joy.
Senior Moves is absolutely a caring and client-focused business. We make things easier for people as they move smoothly into their new residence. I meet lovely people and enjoy my part-time work with this business that shows kindness to the clients and to the staff.

Terry Day
Community Relations Representative
I have worked for Senior Moves since 2010. Born and raised in Maryland, I joined the U.S. Foreign Service after graduation from the University of Maryland. My wife Kay and I served at several American Embassies in Africa and Europe before retiring and moving to Sarasota.
It is so rewarding to be in this business. We are here to provide professional, caring support and services when it’s time to downsize. Having moved many times myself (from country to country!) I know how stressful it can be. At Senior Moves we keep that stress to an absolute minimum. Our goal is to help people.
Tammy Spanos
Senior Relocation Specialist
I’m a Sarasota native and trained as a CNA and Medical Technician. I coach girls softball and a member of the Sarasota Area Softball Association. I enjoy spending time with my family, horseback riding, canoeing, and the outdoors.
I love working with Senior Moves. Our staff is one of a kind, from the owner to everyone on staff. I have made life long friendships and enjoy how well we work together as a team. I have met so many wonderful clients and families and I enjoy hearing where they have come from, reminisce about family history, trips they’ve taken, and the many unique items they’ve acquired over their lifetime. When we have finished with their transition, I get a great feeling to see them happy in their new home.
Brenda Flanders

I have worked with Senior Moves for over two years. I’m originally from Maine and I’m a Speech-Language Pathologist and received my Master’s Degree from the University of South Florida. I’m currently pursing a degree in graphic design. My interests include animals, nature, and collectibles. I enjoy working with seniors and I appreciate them for their experience and wisdom.
Kay Day
Administrative Support
I was born in Syracuse, New York and travelled extensively as a child. As an “Army Brat” I attended 14 schools before meeting my husband-to-be, Terry, at the University of Maryland in Munich, Germany. Shortly after our marriage, Terry joined the U.S. Foreign Service and thus began our 30 year sojourn working at various American embassies in Germany, Libya, Tunisia, Ghana, Denmark, Romania and Kenya. After deciding that Washington D.C. climate was not suitable for retirement, we settled in Sarasota. For the past few years, I have worked for Senior Moves.
